Meet Anne
Anne Keke immigrated from Cote d'Ivoire nearly 20 years ago because America promised that hard work and a dream could lead to success and stability. She became a citizen, built her life in Aurora, and is raising her teenage daughter here because she believes in that promise.
As Aurora School Board President, Anne has seen firsthand the weight students carry: families stretched thin by rising costs, cuts to healthcare, job insecurity, and the terror of watching a loved one be taken away by masked ICE agents and disappeared into a privately run detention facility.
Anne has fought for working families throughout her career, increasing teacher pay, improving outcomes, and securing funding for Aurora's school, but she knows there is more that can and must be done.
That's why Anne is running for the state house: to stand up to Donald Trump's agenda, protect her community, and ensure that the promise of America remains within reach for every family in Aurora.
